After completing his schooling at Aitchison College, Lahore, Mr. Jamal underwent his undergraduate studies at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, from
which he graduated with a double bachelor including an LL.B. (Hons.) in the year 2015. Upon graduating, Mr. Jamal opted to go for his LL.M. at University College London, where he specialized in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He was enrolled as an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan in the year 2017.
Upon his return, Mr. Jamal joined RAMDAYS^, which is one of the leading law firms in the country, in the year 2016. Since then he has been engaged in the practice of handling contentious disputes – both inside the courtroom and out of it. Moreover, he also possesses extensive experience in transactional, regulatory, and advisory
matters, and has also, on numerous occasions rendered a legal opinion on complex matters, including those having an international character and pertaining to conflict of laws.
Mr. Jamal joined the firm in the year 2020 and has been involved in most of the work undertaken by the firm, be it in the nature of litigation, alternate dispute resolution, advisory, transactional, compliance, or regulatory in the various areas of law including but not limited to inheritance laws, defamation laws, constitutional matters, corporate structuring and transactions, commercial contracts, arbitration, banking transactions relation to financial accommodations, power projects, labor laws, service matters, intellectual property matters, acquisition finance, Drug laws, consumer laws, debt recovery, Islamic finance, family law, personal law, white collar financial crimes, project financing along with the execution of finance and security instruments, securitization and restructuring of debts, and obligations and securities.
Mr. Jamal has also remained as a Legal Advisor for the Pakistan Football Federation in the year 2020, under the Normalisation Committee appointed by FIFA to conduct its Elections. Mr. Jamal was tasked with handling the day-to-day legal issues faced by the firm as well as dealing with issues relating to compliance and regulatory statutes, employment disputes, and drafting and vetting of contracts. He was also the PFF’s liaison person with the Legal Unit of FIFA. Furthermore, he also undertook the exercise to draft the Rules, Directives, and Code of Conduct for Elections.
